Corkscrew Pass

Corkscrew is a relatively easy Jeep trail that passes through Red Mountains 1 and 2, about five miles south of Ouray. The Red Mountains get their name from the reddish iron ore rocks that cover the surface.

I was just in Denver over the weekend and I could not believe there was still snow on the mountains there. This is just beautiful!

The red color with snow and green makes an interesting pic. I see there's still a lot of snow up high.

What a gorgeous shot. Does the snow ever go away? Fall is coming back soon! :-)

I'm not sure your definition of "relatively easy" would be the same as mine, so I'd probably forgo that Jeep ride and say in town and take pictures! ;-)
