SkyWatch Friday: Grand Canyon Sunset

This definitely isn't a photo from Telluride! I took this on the South Kaibab Trail in Grand Canyon National Park earlier this week.

Is that sky a little hazy from the current Arizona wildfires, or is it just my imagination?

RED SKY IN MORNING

Red sky in morning,
Sailors take warning!

Who knows what might happen out on the sea?
Waves riding high,
Waves to the sky,
Waves crashing and dashing all over me!

Red sky at night,
Sailors delight!

Leeward or windward we sail with no fear;
Water is calm,
Healing like balm—
Ahoy, fellow sailors, landfall is near!

The skies were amazingly clear blue while we were there. I think the wildfire smoke was being blown south that day.

I enlarged the photo, and it is breathtaking! I love the red-gold light everything is bathed in!! And your header is awesome, too!

You are a brave person. I wouldn't walk that trail for any amount of money even though I would obviously miss a lot of good sights! This is a beauty!
