Tough Kids

Imagine being an infant in a bike seat like this in the winter! This bike was parked in front of the hockey rink, so maybe the baby was inside playing hockey anyway, so the cold bike seat was nothing.

Ha ha. That must be it.

I cannot imagine anything realistically about this photo other than shoveling the walk! On the other hand: snow tires for bikes? The phrase "chaining up your bike" could refer to putting chains on the tires... Great candid but, brrrr.

Great capture. Either playing hockey or sledding down the nearest hill. I think y'all raise 'em tough out thataway!

Re the Arkansas...it is a beautiful and very cold river (even in the summer)...didn't know you'd lived along its banks in Oklahoma...it is probably the prettiest in the Buena Vista to Canon City area...

Great capture. Maybe the bike ride was training for the hockey game.

I'd be worried about the bike skidding on the ice! I see people with studded bike tires riding in Breck, but don't recall a child along for the ride. I'm always afraid they're going to go down in front of my car wheels!
