Conversation With James Franco

One of the conversations in Elks Park on Sunday was with James Franco, hosted by Peter Sellars, who is here to promote his film 127 Hours which will be released in theaters November 5. 127 Hours is the true story of Aron Ralston, the mountain climber that had to amputate his own arm when trapped by a boulder for five days while mountaineering alone in Utah.

Film Fest Seminar

"What's Love Got to Do With it?" was the topic of the seminar in Elks Park at noon on Saturday. Unfortunately I arrived late and didn't catch the names of the filmmakers seen here.

Telluride Film Festival

It's Labor Day weekend and that means only one thing here--Telluride Film Festival! I'm hoping to run into Ed Harris, Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush. I'm not sure I can repeat the luck I had last year with the Nicolas Cage photos, though.

Theme Day: Open Air Market

Telluride's only regular open air market is the Farmer's Market held every Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day--which means this Friday will be the last one of 2010!
