Theme Day: Reflections

This was taken on an autumn day when we drove over Owl Creek Pass. That's Chimney Peak and Courthouse Mountain in the center and reflecting in the Silver Jack Reservoir. Owl Creek Pass begins near Ridgway, Colorado and the area is where the John Wayne movie True Grit was filmed. The big shootout in the movie was filmed in front of Chimney Peak.

That is a nice reflection shot. I bet it would also look good if you hiked to the other side of the lake and took a photo in the opposite direction.

Great photo! Ridgeway has a True Grit festival, where the acotrs come visit and guide the participants to filming sites and stories. The Conoco store in Ridgeway sells commemorative True Grit memorbilia there too.
