SkyWatch Friday: Needles in the Sky

With only a three hour drive into Utah earlier this week, we were in a land completely different than Telluride when we camped in the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park.

Canyonlands is very high on my list of places to visit. This photo is excellent, and I hope we'll see more shots soon!

I've enjoyed your Needles camping trip and the photos, Lisa. This is what is great about the west - different scenery in a half day's travel.

To me, it looks like a cathedral built by God.

A lovely photograph. We've been to Bryce Canyon (years ago) and wondered if this was close to that?

Bryce Canyon is farther west. We can drive to Canyonlands in a little less than 3 hours, but Bryce would probably be an 8 hour drive.
