Ute Dancers

The Ute Indians are a big part of Telluride's Heritage since they were here first. The dancers were amazing! The first one is a champion hoop dancer.

The Ute tribe is here between Vernal and Roosevelt as well. The hoop dancer looks like a kid that graduated from Uintah High School. It's fun to watch them dance.

That is probably him! He is from Utah and spends time on the Ouray reservation. He is going to college to be a therapist to help young people that live on reservations.
