Inconsistent

The aspen leaves are really inconsistent in their changing around Telluride. I'm afraid that by the time the bright green leaves change, the aspens that changed first will have already lost their leaves.

Our aspens are changing much like yours, a little at a time. Nice photo of your autumn scenery.

Very, very pretty! The school bus fits in perfectly!

Beautiful photo, Lisa. It's very soon when colors will burst out in full. Heavy moisture the San Juans have experienced may be the cause for leaves not changing consistantly or quickly. Rain will allow green to linger for a longer duration. The wet pattern appears to be over now.

I have noticed that of the trees here as well... but snow has fallen on the upper portions of the alps even before the leaves have changed colors... it has been an odd season for sure.

A beautiful photo!

Sure are pretty now, though.

As I recall, it was the same way down further south in the Cotopaxi, Salida, Buena Vista area...

It looks like the artist has lightly dusted the canvas with a tiny touch of yellow.

They look beautiful to me...I hope they are waiting for me to come in Oct...I would love them to be yellow when I arrive...

They sure are pretty...more like a patchwork quilt instead of a blanket of yellows. Kind of stretches it out a little longer, though it may not be as spectacular.
