Tis the Season For Construction

Construction is going on all over town during our snow-free summer. This is the Miner's Union getting a restored stairway.

There is a crane truck jacked up like that next to the building I work in and it always looks so unstable to me, but I guess they know what they're doing! The building is a beautiful color.

Nice shot - nice green "mountain" and blue sky background.

How long are you snow-free each year?

That's quite a colorful building. I used to live in Minnesota and know all about short construction and road repair times...and the latter often did not get done which left bigger potholes than ever - for years!

Hi. Great photos here. I love all the detail in them. Gives you a lot to look at and discover. Beautiful heading/banner photo too. Thanks for sharing. ~Cindy

We are snow-free pretty much from May through October, although it can snow at any time! If it does snow in May, September or October it melts away pretty quickly except for the peaks.

I imagine construction has to go as fast as possible while the weather is good...
What's the summer temps. like there?
I know we are presently going through a hot summer now with temps up to 32 C for about 6 weeks then it'll cool off before snow hits in Sept.- Oct.

Michele, I think the highest we've gotten up to is about 84 degrees Fahrenheit, and we have so few days that warm that we really enjoy it!
