I give up. What does it do?

It measures the volumetric discharge. I think the river is running at a medium level now, but when the snow was melting a few weeks ago, the river was very high and dangerous for kayakers.

It certainly blends in well. It reminds me of a bird house. I like the roof on it!

Well, isn't that a cool idea!

It does fit in well. Nice to have solar power. I guess that's for communication?

Well, it's interesting, but I also wonder what it does - measure the water level if the river floods?

A modern bird house! Now, how can we help the birds move in? :)

Oh hey, that's cool!

Of course, when I saw the thumbnail in the portal, I thought it was either a mailbox or a birdhouse ;)

Yes, the water level is measured for flooding, but is also useful info for anyone rafting, kayaking or fishing.
