My World Tuesday: Festival After Festival

The summer festivals are upon us!! The Telluride Heritage Festival day during the Wild West Fest had fun activities for kids such as make your own tipi and tug-of-war.

Great fun. I'm wondering if all this revelry (of which I thoroughly approve) is because people in Telluride are wrapped in snow for so much of the year?

Hi Lisa,
Looks as though the children had fun at this festival. Glad it didn't rain on you. Today is the first we didn't get some rain here in several days. It looks very green in Telluride.

Are the festivals aimed at the locals or just tourists?
Good to see the children engaged in oldfashiond tests of strength.

This particular festival was aimed more at the locals, but this weekend will be our biggest festival, Bluegrass, which brings in about 16,000 people to our town of 2,000.
