Phone Booth

Awhile back a few bloggers posted photos of their British-style phone booths. This one is in Mountain Village near the ice skating pond. The architecture is very European in Mountain Village, so the phone booths really fit in.

I like it! All of the phone booths here have disappeared.

One of those bloggers was me. This phone box is a long way form home. This is such a cool image to see a British icon over your way.

Looks good, is it still working?

The phone booth definitely works. The town of Mountain Village is only about 12 years old.

How odd to see an old style British phone booth in that setting. So now we know where all the iconic red boxes have gone since they were replaced by the generic EU friendly ones.

Pussers is a rum they make there on the island - That isn't a bad or virus link, I go there to see that Caribbean blue water!!!
And, you can click on the pic to enlarge the web cam view too

It always reminds me a time machine/portal. So jaunty!

Funny, I was talking to driver of Routemaster (London Bus) a few days back about how the bus and these old phone boxes were iconic and all over the world.
Great photo.

It seems fallen from outer space!

Super neat!! I like that and it really does seem to fit in and if it works, that would be even neater!!!

A 12 yo village?! How cool! Maybe that's why the phone booth seems to be so lost... :-)

It's hard to find pay phones any more.
