The Last Hurrah

Sunday was unofficially the last official day to ski, or the other way around. Telski surprised everyone a few weeks ago with extending the ski season past April 5, running only lifts 7 and 9 through April 12. This is the view of Gorrono Ranch from lift 4, and a closing day party going on at the "beach." We received a total of 294 inches of snow this ski season, ending on a strange note after Friday's dust storm.

I had to enlarge this one. There is so much detail not to be missed. Great photo. You must have been on the lift when you took this. I love all the people below and the view of the mountains in the background.

I've really enjoyed following the season over here - can't wait to see what Telluride looks like when it all melts.

Goodnight, that's a lot of snow! But that's what you want, right? Gotta have snow to ski...

And a party is always fun...
