Ghost Town

The Mountain Village core is totally empty during the off season. I felt kind of like I was walking around a place I wasn't supposed to be.

Wow--I bet it's kind of spooky there at night!

It's daytime & the streets are empty, but it's so pretty there! Surely there's something more to do than ski - make use of all that beauty!

Eerie! Is no one living there at all? Someone must be guarding the place at least...

What a strange feeling, I bet, every end-of-season.

Still beautiful, though. I hope the tourists come to enjoy it in summer. The mountains are surely great for hiking.

It does look kind of spooky. Must be worse at night!

Gosh, it is wierd to think of it being empty. I'm sure it's just the time between the end of snow and the beginning of summer. Yes?

That is one of my most favorite places to sit and have a snack and read or write in my journal...it's especially nice when the fire is going since it's usually just a little bit chilly no matter the time of day or year. : ) My sister and I used to go up there on our walks while I was recovering from my back surgery. We'd grab coffee and a snack from the place the used to be called the Crunchy Porcupine and just hang around the fire pit...It's great for people watching too! : )

Mountain Village will be a little bit busier in the summer once the summer festivals down in Telluride start, but nothing compared to the middle of ski season.
