SkyWatch Friday: Bald Mountain

The mountain in the center of this photo is Bald Mountain, a popular place to hike to ski in Telluride. There were actually some people hiking up when I took this photo.

Trailhead signs.

Nice view of Baldy from below. If you click to see the larger version, you may see the tracks made by skiers. It's SkyWatch Friday!! Since I started participating in SkyWatch Friday, I find myself looking up at the sky a lot more often than I used to. To see more beautiful skies around the world, please visit SkyWatch Friday.

Oh you do live in a superb spot.
I just love the views you have.
Oh, and that porcupine in the previous post is just too wonderful.

It's gorgeous, even if exceptionally cold looking! Love the Galloping Goose trailhead sign! Cool name. Love the contrails in the first shot, too!

I've seen that mountain but never hiked it. I won't ever ski it, that's for sure! (Klutz on boards.)

The porcupine was a hoot!

Lisa: Neat look at the snow covered mountain into the clear blue sky.

the sky is so blue behind the mountain and snow

I would think it would be hard to go around in the woods w/ skis on - taking this path, then that one! I know it has to be fun, but what's it like?

Oooh! The Telluride area is just gorgeous! You are so lucky to live there and be surrounded by amazing mountains and landscapes.
The mountains are very special to me, too.
In your pictures I can almost sense the crisp snowy mountain air and feel the warm sun on my face competing with the chilly air emanating from the snow, too.

Thanks for sharing your amazing Sky Watch photos and sharing some of your world :)

Oh! And Happy Belated Birthday to your daughter! I really appreciated the birthday wishes you left for me, for my little girl, too.

Have a great weekend!
