Ski Patrol Transportation

It is very common to see a ski patrolman zooming up a run on a snowmobile. This allows them to get from one work area to another, or to bring an injured skier down off of the mountain in a toboggan.

It looks like it would be fun to ride! My sister got rescued by the ski patrol once in Pennsylvania when she got her skis tangled up with her husband's and fell off the lift, breaking her ankle. She was quite embarrassed.

Very handy to have in case of an emergency!

Nice, colorful photo, Lisa. Do you have snowmobiles and if so, do you use them a lot?

I've never been on a snowmobile. We have summer toys, 2 Jeeps that can go anywhere and my husband has a motorcycle.

My daughter has rented snowmobiles and thinks they're great fun. They look like fun, but I think they can be dangerous, too.

My cousin owns a snowmobile museum in Wisconsin, but I've not been there.

That looks like the perect job. What do these guys do for a living when the snow's gone?

A lot of the ski resort employees don't live in Telluride year-round. I'm sure they find summer jobs whether they go home or live in Telluride.
