A Piece of Cake

This is the ski run Cake Walk where I was standing when I took yesterday's photo.

That looks like a scary drop off over there to the left!

Yes, you definitely don't go to the left. Although there are plenty of ski runs here that start out like that! Not for me.

Easy to understand why stopping is not appreciated! But your photos are very much appreciated.

What??? That is so dangerous! EEK. What if you make an error? How sheer is that?...oh I'm not sure I want the answer. I'm going all...

How big is that drop-off?

I have 29 stiches in my head to prove that I learned the hard way (not a Telluride) that an easy run, even if it is called a cake walk, is not a piece of cake if you decide to take the run too fast when tiring at the end of the day.

The best part of the story is that when I went to a plastic surgeon to consult about the scar on my face around the eye socket, he described the surgery he could perform on the scar, then concluded: "It is a close question whether you should have this surgery done. If it were me and my face, I would do the surgery, but you may not want to bother."

I'm sure it's more of a gradual drop-off than it looks, but I'm not sure how far down because I don't look!
