Pandora Mill

At the east end of town, the Pandora Mill once produced zinc, gold, silver and lead from the ore that was brought down via tramway from the Smuggler Union Mine high above. The mine, which is owned by the Idarado Mining Company, closed in 1978 and is currently part of a mining reclamation project.

Do you know what they're going to do with the site after it's cleaned up?

It's strange that I am having a hard time finding out exactly what the restoration project is. I do know that they are always working on the mine tailings. I joke that the building is like the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory, you never see anyone go in and you never see anyone come out! HAHA!
