Telluride Blues and Brews Festival

This weekend is the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. Check out the new snow above Timberline. We had a thunderstorm with some awesome sounding thunder Thursday night and awoke to see the snow Friday morning. My favorite band I've heard so far is Back Door Slam from the Isle of Man. I wonder of Babooshka of Ramsey Daily Photo has ever heard them.
There will be around 9,000 people in the park for the festival this weekend!

Wow......great to hear Back Door Slam from our little island are doing so well over there.Looks a fantastic place to have a concert. We have a blues festival here in the small village of Laxey which has great scenery but not as stunning as that in your great photos. Would love to be there for it. And I'm sure Babooshka will have heard of them as they being local lads are in the local rags quite often.....If you'd like to learn a bit more about the great place Babooshka and I live in, Ramsey, Just click on www.freewebs.com/mannananscloak

Oh yes indeed I have heard of them. I was lucky enough to see this fabulous band when they first started out. They plaYed the Laxey Blues Festival and even jammed in a local pub. Dave Knowles is just to gifted a player. They deserve more recognition in the UK. I even managed to kept a few very grainy photos of them. Not my usual images, it was dark but a keepskae of the lads as a young band. Will have to find those pics now, and I'll be sure to link back to you on my tuesday post. Good to see the boys doing so well. Love this image with the mountains as a backdrop.
